Alfafara is the perfect getaway holiday location for the family or a group of friends wishing to relax in a peaceful setting in the sunshine. If you are feeling adventurous then hill walking, mountain climbing and quad biking are on the doorstep. The beach at Gandia or Alicante offers water sports centres, including windsurfing, jet skiing and scuba diving.
The coastal area boasts golf courses, theme parks and aqua parks, however getting back to the relative cool of the mountains and the real Spain is always welcome.

Bocairent, A medieval town 6km away, with its
wealth of historic and artistic treasures. The bullring
dating from 1843 is the oldest in the Valencian community; it is
unique, being totally excavated out of the rock with a capacity
of 40,000. "Covetes dels Moros" An artificial cave formation
with holes like windows, situated in the middle of a vertical
rock wall 300m high. The whole complex (X-XI centuries)
has 50 rooms with windows lined up over three floors, entrance
is from a staircase into the first level, but the experience is
not for the faint hearted.

A handsome and comfortable Spanish town 20km from Alfafara.
The main street consists of a boulevard of lush trees providing
a natural canopy for the numerous fashionable shops, cafe and
bars. The town also boasts a magnificent medieval castle
fringing the surrounding hillside, with concerts held within the
castle grounds during the summer months.
